Mark Frudd - Nesta
Mark Frudd’s talents were put to great use for this commission, creating a series of illustrations for the research foundation, Nesta.
Every year, Nesta publishes a series of articles predicting the shape of things to come - trends and developments that are set to shape the future.
This year’s Signals 2026 series touches on subjects as fascinating and diverse as sand crime, discussing how sand used in the building trade could be tracked and governed; alternatives to GPS, to enable us to be less dependent on this single technology; human reproduction in space, plus many more!
With a background in graphic design, Mark’s contemporary illustration style has a timeless quality. He often plays with scale and infuses his images with energy and a dynamic use of colour, which is showcased here in this series of eight eye-catching illustrations that accompany the Signals 2026 articles.
With a massive thank you to the team at Nesta for this great commission.
